However, when Josh Holloway forgot a line at his audition and ended up kicking his chair and swearing loudly in frustration, the writers liked his style and decided to write Sawyer as a more Southern, dark drifter. Jin and Sun are married and have the last name “Kwon”, which becomes an important plot point in the final season. However, when Korean men marry, the wife never takes her husband’s surname. In Korea it’s not even allowed to marry someone with the same last name except in rare cases..
