Scenario
Delia Balmer, an agency nurse, met with Sweeney, who confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend. He attacked her before evading capture. Balmer rebuilt her life to confront Sweeney seven years after he was arrested for another murder. Based on a true crime story. Bodies have been dumped in canals in Rotterdam (not Amsterdam) and London… …and more often than not, it’s not possible. Because suffering is so intimate and deeply unique to each being. I cried throughout these four stellar episodes. By the end I was in tears. The victim must remain in their victim role to the point of anger, rage and bitterness. The law rarely acts with empathy. Thank you to @kindofblue-78221 for finding the right words, something my limited English doesn’t allow me to do. Thank you for bringing this pivotal story to the screen and to Anne Maxwell Martin for bringing such a powerful and memorable character to life. Your acting talent is a wonderful gift to us all.
